About HandyMetric
HandyMetric makes everyday calculations easier to understand. Our goal is simple: useful tools, readable explanations, and results you can check.
HandyMetric is operated from France and publishes its tools and explanations in American English for a US audience.
Smart tools. Simple answers.
We are starting with time and work tools for a US audience. Our Time Card Calculator helps you total work hours, deduct unpaid breaks, and handle shifts that cross midnight. Results are available in hours and minutes or decimal hours.
Our guide to calculating work hours with unpaid breaks explains the method with examples. More tools and resources may be added as HandyMetric grows.
Clarity comes first
We explain what each tool calculates and where its limits apply. The current time card tool supports one continuous shift per day, uses the clock times you enter, and does not account for daylight saving changes or calculate wages. Its optional 40-hour split is a planning aid, not a determination of overtime eligibility.
Check important results
Our content and tools provide general information. They do not replace your timekeeping records or professional legal, payroll, tax, or financial advice. Check the inputs and applicable requirements before relying on a result for an important decision.
